According to Aristotle man is a social animal and is different from other animals because of his civilized nature. Human progress and cultured status is impossible without interrelations. So man prefer to live with others and create a society and get various basic needs that cannot be achieved lonely. They have various basic needs like food, shelter, cloths and defence. To ensure these needs, human beings depend upon one and other. They provide help to each other and even quarrel. In their daily affairs, various conflicts and differences poisons the social set-up.In society we have different systems i.e. economic systems, religious systems, political systems etc. To achieve an orderly, the societies are in need of various powerful institutions, laws and persons of authority. Through these persons and institutions, a balance relationship is produced and a politically organized society or political system is established. There are a lot of different political systems each one have their own merits and demerits. This novel is a satire on a political system known as totalitarianism. .Orwell said in an article: “every line of serious work that I have written since 1936 has been written, directly or indirectly, against totalitarianism…… ANIMAL FARM was the first book in which I tried with full consciousness of what I was doing, to fuse political Purpose and artistic purpose in one whole” (Orwell, 2014, p. 8). This
research work is an attempt to analyze the political set up represented in the novel “ANIMAL FARM” by George Orwell.
George Orwell (25 June 1903-21 January 1950) was the pen name of an English novelist, essayist and critic Eric Arthur Blair. Books are a medium through which the author can express his views; whether they concern social injustices, current issues, or in Orwell’s case, politics. He claimed himself to write because of political purpose (Orwell, 2014). He hated totalitarianism. He was critical to communism but was himself a socialist. George Orwell once said, “freedom is the right to tell people what they do not want to hear”, that, essentially, “speaking the truth in times of universal deceit is a revolutionary act”. (“George Orwell”) Orwell’s words reveal his political views in the absolute truest form. “Orwell saw himself as a violent unmasker of published pretentiousness, hypocrisy and self-deceit, telling people what they did not want to hear….” (Crick, 244). Orwell accomplishes this unmasking of these facades through his use of rhetorical strategies to relay his views to the reader.
In novel Animal Farm, Author has presented major events during the Stalin era in the novel from Soviet Union The animals in the novel want revolution and making efforts for the control of Animal Farm from human. Through this fairy tale Orwell has portrayed the original ideals of the revolution and true picture of domination and submission. He also exposes the main idea of political corruption. Thus Animal Farm is an allegory of Russian Revolution in 1917.
Animal farm is a satire on totalitarianism. It is a system of government and ideology in which all social, political, economic, intellectual, cultural, and spiritual activities are subordinated to the purpose of rulers and ruling ideology of a state. The modern totalitarian state is ruled by a political party, which embodies, an ideology claiming universal authority and allowing no rivals. Those countries whose governments are usually characterized as totalitarian were Germany, under the National Socialism of Adolph Hitler, the USSR, particularly under Joseph Stalin, and China under the Communist rule of Mao Zedong. Orwell believed that if the totalitarianism is allowed to grow unchecked, it would sallow the freedom and dignity of the individuals.

They were led by Vladimir Lenin and a group of revolutionaries called the Bolsheviks. The new communist government created the country of the Soviet Union. Before the revolution, Russia was ruled by a powerful monarch called the Tsar. During the period of time before the Russian Revolution, life for the working class people and the peasants was very difficult. The aristocrat class treated the peasants like slaves, giving them few rights under the law and treating them almost like animals.
REVOLUTION AND CORRUPTION

The revolution depicted in animal farm , like all other revolution, is formed out from the joint desire for a better life.
