The uniforms were created for children who were poor, but overtime school districts saw that student with uniforms could bring them together. There been debates on whether uniforms improved academic success while reducing affiliation of violence’s. Also, has been opinions and studies that indication between school uniforms and academic achievement. There has been pros and cons with school uniforms threw out history, that uniforms were first introduced in the 16th century in England at some charity schools for poor children. It was not until 19th century that public schools began instituting uniforms and even later for them to be widely accepted at every state schools. There has been a lot of debates on whether the of having school uniforms are good or bad for students.
The concept of school uniforms are way recognizable with public schools and private schools within the united states. This leads to a discussion to scour the existing literature to determine whether his assertion was supported by empirical evidence. We found a body of literature (largely journalistic and anecdotal) that discussed not only reduction of gang violence in schools but also a host of other possible outcomes of school uniform policies that included decreased behavioral problems, increased learning, and enhanced school climate, self-esteem, school spirit and academic achievement (Brunsma ; Rockquemore, 2003). Students that are more considered about their appearance in school uniforms and want to be viewed for their appearance and want to be viewed for their individuality are the ones that speak more openly about having the choice o be a non-uniform school. For example as children they always seem to be told love who they are and ne themselves. For instance, as a child how many of you were so excited to icked what to wear for the day being, to feel that sense of control and to know you could show up to school.
