Teamwork -The process of working collaboratively with a group of people in order to achieve a goal.
Stages of Teamwork
Forming: In this stage, most team member are positive and polite. As people start to work together, and as they make an effort to get to know their colleagues.
Storming: This is second stage of teamwork where members to focus on details rather than issues and compete for influence. This is the most difficult stage for team members. Arguments may occur as to what procedure the team should take to accomplish their task
Norming: Gradually, the team moves into the norming the stage, this when people appreciate the strength of each team member. Emotional conflict is reduced as members become more loyal and accepting of individual and their own responsibilities.
Performing: In this stage, teams are functioning at very high level. The focus is on reaching the goal as a group. Team relationships and expectations have been defined and accepted.
Adjourning: In this stage the project is coming to the end. when the task is finally finished, there is a sense of great accomplishment, but also a reluctance to bid good-bye since the team now have formed relationships.
